Before you get started, think about the type/style of Wedding you desire. Color scheme is important, how many guests you will have & their age range? Are they able to travel? Can they afford to travel and if not are you willing to pay or contribute to their travel expenses? Agree on a Budget. Try to get a good idea of the number of guests you will have. This will help to start your wedding plans.
Decide on the Date, Time & Area of the Wedding
Then find a Wedding Coordinator who knows the area, facilities & wedding services, especially if you have chosen a location away from your hometown or state. The Coordinator will be you eyes and ears representing you as though you were there. Important note: Find a Coordinator who will keep within your budget.
Choose the Wedding Ceremony Site
Check the minimum & maximum capacity for guests at the ceremony site
Book your Wedding Officiant
Share with the Officiant the type of Ceremony you want and the Vows you wish to share.
Decide on your Ceremony area decorations.
Choose the Reception Site and book it asap. Try to make sure that it is not too far from the Ceremony site or ideally choose a venue that can accomodate both.
Collect information regarding facilities & menu options
Send out Wedding Invitations with an RSVP Date
The number of guests dramatically affects the cost of your Ceremony & Reception
Many locations have maximum & minimum numbers allowed. Food is always calculated on a per person basis.
Decide what menu & decorations you want for the Reception and then confirm this with the Reception Venue or your Personal Wedding Planner

Decide on any extras that you desire such as Flowers, Dove or Butterfly Release, Limousine, Photographer, Videographer etc then have your Planner/Coordinator book them.

Make sure that you have paid all the appropriate deposits to secure facilities & Services

Relax as your Coordinator continues to act on your behalf right up to and during your Wedding Day

Have fun doing all of the above
